Coinbase Upgrades Its Wallet App to Make Crypto Transactions Easier and More Intuitive

Coinbase, a leading crypto exchange, has updated its interface on its mobile wallet to make sending and receiving crypto among users, easier and more intuitive.

According to the announcement, the upgrade is intended to make it easier for users to send and receive crypto to each other with just a few quick taps. The company claims millions of users already send and receive funds on its platform, but with this recent upgrade, the process will become easier, especially for people who may be new in the crypto space.

With the new development, customers can now start a transaction on mobile with the action button, irrespective of where they are in the app. The upgrade has also made it simple for users to switch between currencies quickly. It also came with the removal of some few steps, cutting down the process and making it more intuitive for new customers.

The announcement further noted that, the platform has cleaned up its visual design in the app and added cues to help customers better understand what is happening as they send and receive their crypto. In most instances, the announcement claims customers worldwide can more easily send and receive crypto with no charges.

According the announcement, this upgrade is consistent with its mission to create an open financial system for the world. It added that, a notable element of achieving this mission is to provide customers with familiar, but improved, financial services built on top of cryptocurrencies.

Last two months, Coinbase also updated its wallet app to enable users send crypto to simplified usernames instead of the long string addresses. Last month, the platform also released Bitcoin Batching which frees up space on the blockchain and also cut down transaction costs for users.

The most recent development from the company was the integration of Decentralized Finance Apps (DeFi) directly into its wallet app. This was to enable users to access smart contracts to borrow and lend crypto without needing to leave the app.
