Blockchain watchdog, Chainalysis is expanding access to its certificate program in crypto fundamentals to the wider community. According to the July 23 announcement, the company is expanding the program with the launch of the Chainalysis Cryptocurrency Fundamentals Certification (CCFC). Initially, the certificate programs were only available to customers using Chainalysis investigations and compliance products.

Chainalysis claims its CCFC course is the first of its kind available to professional in financial services, government, and enterprises who have keen interest in cryptocurrency. The company said the course provides participants with a basic understanding of crypto technology and insight into key stakeholders. They will also learn the use cases, and functions of crypto in relation to the traditional financial system.

The CCFC training course includes 2 days of interactive training. Webcam-based virtual training is currently available. However, in-person training in small groups will also be available once the COVID-19 pandemic is controlled. The course engages learners through practical exercise, group discussions, and case studies developed by Chainalysis experts. Participants will write an exam at the end of their training.

The CCFC training course is available to participants from around the world to learn and interact with each other. However, all registrations will be reviewed before attendance is confirmed. Participants who pass the exams after the course will receive a 2-year Chainalysis Cryptocurrency Fundamentals Certification. This will be provided both as a digital certificate and LinkedIn badge.

According to Jason Bonds, Chainalysis Chief Revenue Officer, the certificate program will educate beginners and inspire a new cohort of crypto professionals. He added that, ensuring widespread understanding of the crypto technology is crucial for its safe and successful adoption.

Tim Simpson, Compliance Analyst at Bittrex also added that the CCFC course provides focused, well-organized, and active learning experience that serves as a perfect introduction to crypto for those who need one.
