Tyler Winklevoss, the co-founder and CEO of Gemini Exchange says Bitcoin will emerge from this current crisis stronger than ever. According to Gemini’s CEO, Bitcoin’s significance will outperform the current negative sentiment, and it will come out stronger than ever.
His statement came after Bitcoin witnessed one of its worst performance in history last week. The price of the leading crypto plunged to as low as $3,800. However, Winklevoss claims he is optimistic about the future of Bitcoin.
In a recent tweet, Winklevoss noted that Bitcoin was born in 2008 at a period when the financial system was broken. He said the coin has already weathered much to be where it is currently, and it seems unlikely to die out any moment from now. According to Winklevoss, decades are not measured in days, so Bitcoin will emerge from this current calamity stronger than ever.
Winklevoss is not the only person who believes that Bitcoin will bounce back after the world has returned to normal. Tim Draper, the billionaire venture capitalist also believes that once the world recovers from the coronavirus pandemic, Bitcoin will save the world and not banks and governments.
